No. WebP does not inherently blur page text, but the chosen resolution still controls how much detail the image contains. If small text looks soft, a higher-resolution render gives it more pixels, with a corresponding increase in file size.
02Why did my EPUB become several WebP files?
The converter creates one WebP image for each rendered page. A multi-page EPUB file therefore becomes multiple image files, delivered together. This is intentional: combining every page into one image would make long documents difficult to view and reuse.
03Can I edit EPUB text in the WebP?
No. After EPUB is rendered to WebP, the letters are part of the image pixels or page graphics rather than editable document text. You can crop, annotate, or place the image elsewhere, but changing the wording requires editing the source document or using an editable conversion route.
04Why use WebP instead of JPG for EPUB?
WebP is useful when the page images are headed for a website or another size-sensitive workflow. It can store detailed images more compactly than older formats. JPG remains the safer choice when maximum compatibility with older software matters more than file size.
