SVG to PNG Conversion Overview
qlot converts your SVG image to PNG for pixel editing and transparent workflows, carrying over artwork bounds, colors, fills, strokes, shapes, transparent areas, edges, and visible detail.
Resolution-independent vector artwork must become pixels for editing-oriented raster output, so qlot rasterizes the artwork at a defined image size. Small output dimensions provide fewer pixels for thin edges, while larger dimensions preserve more visible detail at the cost of a bigger file.
Built for transparent raster assets, slide use, interface exports, and PNG-only workflows when vector artwork must become a pixel image. SVG content uses a fixed pixel size, so very small export dimensions can soften thin lines or tiny text.
Same picture, new format
The visible SVG image is decoded and written into a PNG container for use in tools that expect that format.
Format features can change
PNG can carry transparency when the source image contains it in the converted output file where the destination format allows it.
Choose for compatibility
Convert when a site, app or workflow accepts PNG but does not accept your current SVG image.
Single-image conversion
The conversion re-encodes one image rather than rebuilding pages, paragraphs, tables or other document structure.
Saved in My Files
Converted files remain available in My Files for 1 day on Preview and up to 30 days on Team.
No text extraction
Words visible inside the picture stay part of the image; converting to PNG does not turn them into editable text.
How to convert SVG to PNG
Add your file
Drop your SVG image onto the box above, or select it from your device. Upload starts when you begin the conversion.
Convert
We decode the SVG image and encode the same picture as PNG. Format-specific features such as transparency can change.
Download
Your PNG image is ready to download.

Contact sales01Will PNG stay sharp when enlarged?
No. SVG is vector, but PNG is raster, so the conversion turns scalable drawing instructions into a fixed grid of pixels. It can look sharp at the rendered size, but enlarging it far beyond that size can reveal pixelation.
02Can I keep editing vector paths in PNG?
No. Once the SVG is rasterized to PNG, individual paths and shapes are no longer editable vector objects. Keep the original SVG for design changes, and use the PNG copy for software or websites that specifically need a raster image.
03Why does my PNG look blurry after SVG conversion?
The SVG was rasterized at a finite resolution. If that raster image is then displayed much larger than its rendered dimensions, it has to stretch the same pixels over more space. Convert at an appropriate size for the largest place the image will be used.
04Will transparent SVG areas stay transparent in PNG?
Yes. PNG supports an alpha channel, so transparent parts of the SVG can remain transparent in the raster output. The important change is not transparency but scalability: the PNG has fixed pixel dimensions, unlike the vector SVG source.
05Why choose PNG instead of JPG for SVG?
PNG is the safer choice for logos, diagrams, sharp edges, and transparency because it is lossless and supports an alpha channel. JPG is better suited to photographic imagery when smaller files matter and transparent areas are not required.
