Yes. The conversion is aimed at pulling table data from the HTML into spreadsheet cells rather than preserving the whole web page as a screenshot. Tables that depend on unusual nesting or scripts can still require cleanup after they are represented as a flat grid.
02Why is non-table page content missing?
Because HTML to Excel is for table data, not for recreating an entire web page inside a workbook. Headings, navigation, decorative layout, and other page content may not belong to a data table and therefore are not the focus of the spreadsheet output.
03Can I sort the converted Excel cells?
Yes. Once the table is represented in Excel cells, you can work with the resulting sheet using normal spreadsheet tools such as sorting, filtering, or formulas. Review merged or irregular HTML tables first because they may not map cleanly into a rectangular grid.
04Why are some HTML table columns wrong?
HTML tables can use merged cells, nested tables, or layout tricks that do not translate cleanly into a simple worksheet. When the source does not describe a regular grid, the converter has to flatten it. Check headers and merged areas before using the data.
